PLEASEDONTTRYTHISATHOMEVILLE — Here on Have You Seen This, we’ve shown you some crazy mountain-biking videos, longboarding videos and videos of bears, which is dangerous and gross. Here is another dangerous video, but this time it’s with motorcycles.

I think it goes without saying; you probably shouldn’t try this at home. I mean you should never ride motorcycles in your house.

Red Bull strapped a camera to Ben Hemingway’s noggin and followed along as he raced through the streets of Portugal in the Extreme XL de Lagares.

There are a few things we learned from this video that may be extremely helpful as we all traverse through this journey called life.

Lesson No. 1: Motorcycles can climb over giant logs.

Why this is important: Now we know that if we’re ever in a dangerous John Connor-type situation from “dangerous Terminator 2” and have to outrun a T-1000 on a dirt bike that a fallen tree will not stop us. That’s a life-saving tip, really.

Lesson No. 2: Stairs are terrifying.

Why this is important: Stairs are a part of everyday life and we have been running up and down them not realizing how dangerous they are. Granted, they are a bit trickier to navigate on a two-wheeled motor vehicle than on our own two legs, but those things are death traps none-the-less.

Thanks to this video we can all be a bit more cautious as we traipse up and down cement staircases.

Lesson No. 3: Portuguese people are helpful.

Why this is important: You’ll see in the video that Hemingway has a little trouble on some stairs — yes, those stairs again — but he didn’t have to worry too much because a helpful Portuguese man grabbed the bike and helped him up.

This means that the next time you find your motorcycle stranded on a narrow staircase that you’d better hope you have a Portuguese person nearby to lend a hand.

Also, you should start befriending them because you will inevitably move someday and they’ll probably help you out.

Now that I have thoroughly wasted your time you may as well waste another minute or two and watch the video because it’s truly impressive.
