MURRAY — A semitruck rollover Tuesday morning caused major delays on several Utah highways, and Utah Highway Patrol troopers said it wasn't the first time it's happened at this ramp.

Investigators said the truck, which was hauling a load of cereal, flipped on its side because it was traveling too fast on the ramp connecting northbound I-15 to westbound I-215 in Murray.

The ramp had to be closed while crews cleaned up the mess and worked to upright the semi — which meant major backups for morning commuters on northbound throughout Salt Lake County.

The accident also contributed to four or five additional accidents, according to UHP. No major injuries were reported, but some people were transported to hospitals as a precaution.

Since 2010, there have been two other vehicle rollovers on the westbound I-215 interchange ramp. Officials from the Utah Department of Transportation say they put up additional speed limit signs to warn drivers they need to slow down.
