WEST JORDAN — Two women were arrested after police say they dressed in black, invaded a home and attacked residents.

The women, 18 and 22 years old — with their faces painted black and dressed in black, carrying a stun gun and knives — entered the home on Copper Lane around 4 a.m. Friday, according to West Jordan police officer Craig Carroll.

They attacked two of the residents who were able to subdue the women until police arrived, he said.

"We don't know exactly what their intent was," Carroll said.

One of the people living in the home is a victim of sex abuse, police said, and the child's uncle is in jail awaiting trial in connection with the case. The child is scheduled to testify in the case next week, according to Carroll.

Police said both women are romantically involved with the suspect in the sex abuse case.

The women were arrested on investigation of aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and witness tampering.

"This is a very convoluted case with an extensive, ongoing investigation," West Jordan Police Sgt. Dan Roberts said.

Police have not released the names of the women, the man awaiting trial or the victims of the home invasion.
