SALT LAKE CITY — Police located and arrested a man several minutes after he attempted to rob a bank Wednesday afternoon.

The attempted robbery occurred at the Bank of Utah at 711 S. State Street around 2:30 p.m., according to Salt Lake City police. A man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, police said. However, the man became nervous and fled the bank on foot before receiving any money.

The man was caught on video surveillance during the attempted robbery and police located him within minutes.
