SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Weber State football again couldn’t get out of its way Saturday.
The offense scored plenty of points to find a way to win on the road, but the mistakes and turnovers costs the Wildcats a chance at beating former coach Jody Sears.
Weber quarterback Billy Green passed for 377 yards, which is a highlight performance at a position the Wildcats struggled at last season.
Rushing the football sustains drives, and it gives an offense confidence. For Weber to rush for only 90 yards on the road doesn’t speak volumes about the Wildcats’ offensive line.
No team can turn the ball over three separate times and expect to win.
