NATHSVILLE, TN (WSMV) — It's tradition for Tennessee Titans games to start with the national anthem, and when Thursday night's singer stepped onto the field, she was fulfilling a dream.

Janine Stange set a goal of singing the national anthem in all 50 states to mark the 200th anniversary of The Star-Spangled Banner, and Tennessee was number 50.

"I've always loved singing the national anthem. I sang it since I was in high school. I've always felt that just because you have a talent doesn't mean you should always do things for yourself all the time, you should give back," she said.

At each stop along the way, Stange has offered thank you cards for people to write messages to deployed members of the military and veterans. Each of those cards goes into a care package for Operation Gratitude.

Editor's note: Stange sang the national anthem in Utah on April 2, 2014, at a Utah Grizzlies game. Watch the video here.
