MILFORD — A buck pronghorn was illegally shot and killed near Milford, and Division of Wildlife officials are seeking the poacher.

DWR officials were notified Aug. 15 of a dead pronghorn that had been discovered south of Milford, according to a news release. DWR Sgt. Paul Washburn responded to the scene and determined that the buck had been illegally shot and left in the area. Washburn said there were no buck pronghorn hunts in the area at the time of the shooting.

Officials are asking anyone with information about the poaching to contact the DWR UTIP hotline at 1-800-662-3337. Tipsters can remain anonymous and a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the poacher.
