TATOOINE — Everyone is hyped for “Star Wars: Episode VII” even though it’s still over a year away from hitting theaters. With the excitement everyone is always scouring the Internet searching for any news, pictures or rumors and we’re no different.

The one and only Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill, Instagrammed this picture of himself in front of the studio where they are shooting Episode VII.

Hamill is not in costume in the picture, he’s not wielding a lightsaber and he’s just in front of a building, but that doesn’t mean we can't speculate until the cows come home.

As you can see in the photo Hamill has a scraggily beard a la Obi-Wan Kenobi, which would possibly lead one to believe that Luke has taken on the role of Obi-Wan and is now a hermit more or less in hiding.

Again, this is speculation, but when we left Luke 30 years ago he had just watched his father die and was the last of the Jedi order. Odds are the last 30 haven’t been kind to Luke as he rebuilt the Jedi and defended the alliance. So, that means a removed-from-society Skywalker wouldn’t be a huge stretch.

Again, this is all speculation, but don’t act like you don’t love it.

Filming on Episode VII was on hiatus after Harrison Ford broke his leg on set, but it sounds like the break is nearly healed and shooting is set to resume this month.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” is due in theaters December of 2015.
