COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Nick Rimando tied the MLS record with his 112th shutout in 10-man Real Salt Lake's 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night.

Rimando needed a diving save in the 94th minute to tie the record set by Kevin Hartman in 2012.

Salt Lake (8-4-9) won the Rocky Mountain Cup by beating Colorado (8-7-6) in the first two games of the three-game, regular-season series.

Javier Morales scored in the 14th minute for Salt Lake. Chris Wingert won a loose ball in Colorado's defensive end and found Morales open inside the box.

Salt Lake played nearly the entire second half a man down after Aaron Maund was handed a red card in the 46th minute for taking down Colorado's Vicente Sanchez just outside the penalty area. Wingert received a yellow card in the 34th minute and will miss the next match on an accumulation suspension.

Colorado was shut out for the second time in three days.
