OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Ogden authorities say a 38-year-old woman faces a criminal charge after sending text messages to a stranger and offering to sell prescription drugs.

The Weber County Sheriff's Office says a resident reported the messages and a deputy arranged to purchase pills from the sender of the text messages.

Sgt. Lane Findlay told The Standard Examiner officers arrested 38-year-old Stacy Coles when she arrived for the arranged deal last weekend.

He says Coles initially denied being involved but later admitted she had sent the messages and offered to sell pills.

Coles was booked into the Weber County Jail and posed a $10,000 bond Tuesday.

She faces one charge of distributing a controlled substance.

It's unclear if Coles has an attorney. No listed number was available.
