SALT LAKE CITY — A missing teen was located and reunited with her family early Wednesday morning, officials said.
Jaelyn Gruenebaum, 13, was reported missing Monday evening after she walked away from the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center when her group home went to visit. Gruenebaum suffers from several mental disorders and recently spent time at a state hospital, police said. She had been staying at the group home receiving treatment in an effort to move back home with her family.
West Jordan Police originally listed her as a runaway and then upgraded her condition to missing and endangered after they discovered she suffered from several mental disorders.
Gruenebaum’s family and friends handed out fliers at Jordan Landing and a nearby skate park on Tuesday in hopes of locating her.
West Valley Police found Gruenebaum at a McDonald's and returned her to her mother.
