SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota — A stranger who saw a mom in need putting aside diapers that Wal-Mart refused to price match rushed forward to pay for them herself. A customer behind them caught the moment on video that has since touched thousands since it was posted online earlier this week.

Katie Kanefke, a married stay-at-home mom of one, says she is on a strict monthly budget.

So when her friend told her about a deal on diapers, she hurried to her local Wal-Mart to snatch them up.

But when she got to the register, she discovered Wal-Mart would only price match one of the boxes. She put the three to the side, the Argus Leader reported.

have a little one.' Little ones are close to

The checkout line was held up as Kanefke tried to get a lower price for the diapers and customers started moving to other lines. Carol Flynn, 73, was one of those that started walking away when she realized Kanefke wasn't able to buy the diapers at full price.

She turned around and started putting the diaper boxes back in the woman's cart and insisted on paying the $120 for them.

The moment of generosity was quietly captured on video by Jason Yoshino, who went home and uploaded it to his Facebook page.

The video has been 'liked' more than 30,000 times and shared almost 8,000 times by people who were touched by the moment of kindness.

Flynn said she doesn't always have a lot of money to help people out and usually just buys something at the drive- thru for the car behind her, but she had the $120 to help this time.

“I thought, ‘If she needs diapers, she must have a little one.’ Little ones are close to your heart when you’re a grandmother,” Flynn told TODAY.com.

Flynn spoke to Kanefke for a moment and told her to just pay it forward when she could.

"I couldn't believe it. I was shocked. I kept saying, 'Thank you and God bless you,' " Kanefke told the Argus Leader. "Then I walked out in the parking lot and started crying. It just hit me. It was an awesome statement of what God's love does."
