OREM — Utah Valley University had six players reach double figures, led by 20 from Ben Aird, in a 103-64 win over Haskell University on Friday night in the UCCU Center.

Hayes Garrity joined all five starters with double digits, adding 19 points off the bench. Zach Nelson finished with 16, Keawe Enos scored 14 and Mitch Bruneel finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Holton Hunsaker scored 11 points and dished out a season-high eight assists.

Utah Valley shot a season-best 55.2 percent from the floor and 10-of-19 from beyond the arc. Haskell was led by 15 points from Dillon Thompson, with the Indians shooting 46 percent overall for the game.

"We did some good things tonight. I thought the effort was acceptable," said head coach Dick Hunsaker. "Haskell should be very pleased and proud of the effort they gave. Even with the differential in the score, they were competitive and came at us every play and hit some tough shots."

The Wolverines raced out to a 16-4 lead behind a pair of 3-pointers from Hunsaker and another from Enos. After Haskell scored six straight to make it 16-10, Garrity scored seven straight himself to push UVU's lead to 23-10.

Aird and Enos both finished the first half with 12 points apiece with Garrity adding nine.

UVU used a 10-2 run early in the second half to stretch the lead to 60-37, eventually extending to the 39-point final tally which marked the biggest lead of the game.

The Wolverines had a season-high 22 assists and also out-rebounded Haskell 38-23, turning 17 offensive rebounds into 20 second chance points. UVU also scored 27 points off of 17 Haskell turnovers.
