SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake police were waiting for autopsy results Tuesday to determine how a man whose body was found in Memory Grove died.

The body was found by a person walking a dog in Memory Grove Park, 300 North Canyon Road (130 East), about 5:20 p.m. Monday.

Salt Lake police detective Rick Wall said it's possible the man had been dead for several hours before he was found. He said the recent bitter cold temperatures in Salt Lake City may delay how fast investigators can collect evidence.

Wall said detectives had identified the man but were not releasing his name as of Tuesday afternoon pending notification of family members. There were no obvious signs of foul play, he said.

Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
