OAHU, Hawaii — It's been 50 years since the Polynesian Cultural Center opened in Oahu in 1963.

"We are not only sharing our Tahitian culture, but we are also sharing the culture of the Church, which is to help others see that they are children of God as well," said Andre Tuaril Tauraa, a performer at the LDS Church-owned center.
