SALT LAKE CITY — In this Sunday Edition, a closer look at the Count My Vote initiative. Plus, see how a group of recovering addicts inspired an ultramarathon runner. And, hear Doug Wright's opinion on why Utah needs to change the date of the summer primary.

Segment 1

The push to change Utah's voting system is gaining momentum. Count My Vote organizers recently held two successful fundraisers and say a proposed initiative petition drive is ready to go.

Rich McKeown, president of Count My Vote, discussed what's next with Richard Piatt.

Segment 2

Can you imagine running not one, but five marathons in temperatures well above any record heat temperatures we've had in the Salt Lake Valley?

That's exactly what a Utah man faced in the Badwater ultramarathon. It's 135 miles long and runners have just 48 hours to finish.

It starts 280 feet below sea level. Then, competitors endure three steep climbs ending 8,000 feet up. Richard Piatt visited with Jarom Thurston about his experience and learned how the group Addict II Athletes inspired him.

Segment 3

We've got a voting primary coming up. It's probably not top of mind for most people, but Doug Wright offers his opinion on why the date needs to change.
