SALT LAKE CITY — In this Sunday Edition, we take a closer look at the new legislative committee charged with the heavy task of investigating John Swallow. Plus, Utah NAACP president Jeanetta Williams discusses Stand Your Ground Laws, and Catholic Bishop John C. Wester shares his baseball dreams and what the game taught him.

Segment 1

Nine lawmakers, have been charged with a daunting task: unraveling the web of allegations hanging over beleaguered attorney general John Swallow. This first-of-its-kind panel is made up of five republicans and four democrats. The committee could face a host of obstacles, from scheduling meetings, dealing with subpoenas and reluctant witnesses. We'll discuss the obstacles and first order of business with the chairman of the committee, Rep. Lowry Snow and committee member Rep. Rebecca Chavez-Houck.

Segment 2

The verdict in the Zimmerman trial set the tone for last week's NAACP convention in Orlando. Utah president Jeanetta Williams attended and joined Richard Piatt to discuss her experience there. They also discussed Stand Your Ground laws and race relations in Utah.

Segment 3

A bipartisan group of senators has reached an agreement on a student loans package that could cap rates. Doug Wright offers his opinion on how well he think Congress has handled the issues.

Finally, Major League Baseball started the second half of its season on Friday. Bishop John C. Wester probably won't be watching any games, but that doesn't mean he won't be checking a score or two. Dave McCann talked one-on-one with Utah's top Catholic leader who, like many of us, learned a lot of his lessons in life at the ball park.
