SALT LAKE CITY — Today was a much anticipated day, perhaps more than any other pro day in the country, where we finally found out that Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei is exactly who we thought he was - a star.

It was well-documented that Star Lotulelei was unable to work out at the NFL Combine last month in Indianapolis due to a supposed heart condition.

NFL scouts from every NFL team came to Salt Lake City Wednesday morning to see the Utah Pro Day and if Star was worth their team's first round draft pick, or any pick for that matter.

Lotulelei quickly put any questions to rest. First up was the broad jump, then the vertical leap. He did well in both. He had a 30-inch vertical, not bad.

Then came the bench press. I actually started laughing when he started. He was throwing up 225 pounds it was virtually nothing. He finished with 38 reps.

Star was clocked with a 5.19 40-yard dash, although some scouts timed him as low as 5.07. He also did some positional work with some cone and shuttle drills.

Lotulelei and the Kruger brothers were working on slap moves on the dummies, shuffling in and out of the dummies, getting off the ball quickly. I feel really bad for whoever gets head slapped by these guys, especially Star.

I was very curious to see how the rest of the Utes would do on Pro Day. The biggest winners in my opinion were Reggie Dunn and Ryan Lacy.

Reggie Dunn ran the 40-yard dash twice at the speed that would make lightning envious. He timed in at 4.22 and 4.26. Yes, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.22 seconds. Now that's FAST. I know Dunn made some money today.

Ryan Lacy worked out really, really well. His vertical was 37 inches. He ran fast in the 40, shuttles, and cone drills. I also think he made himself money today.

I was also very impressed with Luke Matthews. He does not have an ounce of fat on him. He ran well and just looked the part.

Mo Lee, DeVontae Christopher, John White IV to me had tough days. In my opinion, I don't think they did themselves any favors.
