SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah kicked off spring football practice Tuesday afternoon in front of fans and a plethora of media gathered at the Utes practice fields.

The weather was perfect as the Utes' offense under new co-offensive coordinator Dennis Erickson began to take shape.

Back was starting quarterback Travis Wilson, and although he struggled right at the start of practice, he got into the zone and was throwing bullets right on the money. Adam Schultz continued to shine as the best passer of the bunch, while newcomer Brandon Cox turned some heads with his excellent athleticism and his ability to make the correct read on the zone option.

We will continue our coverage of spring football here on the Crimson Corner, as well as have the inside scoop on the Utes' Pro Day tomorrow (Wednesday). Utah DT Star Lotulelei, a projected top pick in the NFL Draft by ESPN's Todd McShay, has been cleared to work out after health concerns kept him out of the combine.
