KEARNS — A second arrest was made over the weekend in the theft of missing custom-made ice skates. But investigators have still not been able to find the skates.
On July 25, Unified police believe two men entered the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, 5662 S. 4800 West, and stole items from several lockers. Among the property taken was a pair of ice skates custom made for speed skating, worth several thousand dollars.
After surveillance video from the facility was released, detectives arrested Jesse Michael Wood, 41, based on tips they received.
Saturday, investigators arrested a second man, 29-year- old Leonard Regier, who was located at 10579 S. Larkspur Drive. Regier has a history of theft and drug-related convictions, according to Utah court records.
The skates, however, had not been recovered as of Monday.
