(KSL News) Major Real Salt Lake investor Goldman Sachs will no longer spend its money on the pro soccer team.
There is some speculation that the investment firm grew impatient regarding the Sandy stadium deal. Real officials say it won't change the team's future.
A prominent real-estate developer has taken over all of Goldman Sachs' financial responsibilities to the team.
Real spokesman Eric Gelfand wouldn't name the developer but said in a written statement that the company "shares our vision and passion for this public-private project and the benefits it will contribute to the community for years to come."
