SALT LAKE CITY — Missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in certain areas of the world with hot climates will no longer have to buy or wear suit coats, according to a press release from the church.
Suit coats in these areas are “impractical,” the press release states, and not having to buy them will “reduce the financial burden on missionaries and their families.”
Such missions are in Africa, Mexico, Brazil and several other areas. Read the attached list for all the missions that fit under this category.
The missions without the suit coat requirement will be specified in missionaries' call packets.
