TAYLORSVILLE — A man, identified as Marin Saul Tio Juarez, 30, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Taylorsville late Saturday night, according to police.

At about 8:44 p.m. Saturday night, Juarez was riding a Honda Shadow motorcycle eastbound on 4700 South in Taylorsville, according to Lt. Justin Hoyal of Unified Police Department. At the same time, a Ford Explorer driven by an 18-year-old male, who has yet to be identified, attempted to make a left turn onto I-215 from 4700 South at 2500 West, said Hoyal. At this time, the vehicles collided.

Juarez was not wearing a helmet, according to Hoyal, and was initially transported to the hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

No citations or arrests have yet been made, but Hoyal said the investigation remains open and ongoing.
