LOGAN — Police need help identifying a female driver involved in a hit and run that occurred Sept. 8.

A pedestrian was crossing the street at 400 North and 100 West around noon on the day of the incident when a female driver in a white car was making a left-hand turn and struck a male pedestrian who was in the crosswalk. The pedestrian rolled on top of the car and fell to the side as seen in a surveillance video. The driver stopped, talked only briefly with the pedestrian and drove away.

"The driver said that she was sorry, and she would be more careful, then drove away," Logan Police Capt. Curtis Hooley said.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries to his left arm.

Police say if a driver's involved in an accident with a pedestrian, they should give the pedestrian their name, address, insurance information and license plate number and wait for police to arrive.

Anyone that witnessed the accident or recognizes the driver is asked to call police at 435-716-9436.
