In January 2012, Gov. Gary Herbert set a goal of achieving job growth in Utah of 100,000 jobs in 1,000 days. He announced Tuesday that the goal appears to have been met and then some, with the state adding 112,200 new jobs in the 32-month period.

Officer's body camera captures fatal 7-Eleven shooting

The police officer who shot and killed Dillon Taylor captured the incident on his body camera, Salt Lake City Police Chief Chris Burbank said Tuesday. But he said it would not be appropriate to make it public at this time.

Authorities believe a rock slide damaged an oil well pipeline, sending at least five barrels of oil into a wash that drains into the San Juan River. The leak in the Montezuma Creek area was discovered on Thursday and has been contained.
