SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Target practice set off a brush fire on the west side of Utah Lake.
The fire scorched 25 acres of land near Pelican Point before fire crews could knock down the flames Monday.
Saratoga Springs firefighters say they are called out often on shooting fires. They said this fire was considered an accident and those responsible won't face charges.
The fire never threatened any buildings. But because there are no hydrants close by, crews had to use a helicopter to drop water from Utah Lake to extinguish the fire.
