LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Tyler Johnson scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Fresno State survived a late rally to edge Utah State 79-76 Saturday night.
Paul Watson had 20 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the 3-point line for the Bulldogs (14-14, 7-8 Mountain West Conference), while Marvelle Harris added 15.
The Aggies (15-12, 5-10 MWC) were paced by Jarred Shaw with 18 points, Kyle Davis with 14 points and 15 rebounds and TeNale Roland with 12.

Trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, USU took the lead, 45-44 with 15:52 to play on a layup by Roland. FSU responded with a basket by Harris and extended it to 67-61 with 7:58 to play on a Watson three-pointer. USU clawed back to 70-68 on two Davis free throws with four minutes in the game, but Fresno survived USU's late-game pressure defense to claim the win.
