CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Joe Heck is announcing endorsements from all but three Republicans in the Nevada Legislature.

Heck announced Monday that 10 of the 11 Republicans in the state Senate were supporting him. Sen. Don Gustavson was the lone member not on the list.

He also said he had the support of 23 of Nevada's 25 Republican Assembly members. Lawmakers Brent Jones and Ira Hansen were not on the list.

Heck is in his third term serving a southern Nevada congressional district. He's now seeking the U.S. Senate seat soon to be vacated by Democrat Harry Reid.

Heck is facing off with Democratic former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto in what's expected to be one of the most competitive Senate races in the country.
