UDOT crews plan massive pipe installation in Parleys Canyon

At the mouth of Parleys Canyon on I-80, the Utah Department of Transportation is starting work on one of its biggest projects of the summer. It will replace a 2-mile section of massive pipe that carries Parleys Creek under the interstate.

A 54-year-old man was killed Monday evening when his vehicle rear-ended another car on I-215, careened across several lanes of traffic and was hit by another vehicle just entering the freeway.

It's time to ignore the ring: Utah's teen cellphone ban becomes law in less than a week. Adults can still talk on their cellphones behind the wheel, but beginning May 14, drivers under 18 will have to put them away or face a fine.

Each year hundreds of road construction workers are hurt and dozens killed when cars lose control in the orange cone zone. One Utah construction worker is still battling health problems from a roadside crash that happened almost five years ago.

The Utah Highway Patrol received multiple calls reporting geese on I-15 Friday afternoon. Troopers say it's becoming a more common occurrence, and they're not exactly sure why.
