This is Lane Beattie of the Salt Lake Chamber with your Utah Business Report.

The League of American Orchestras' Board of Directors has named Patricia A. Richards Chair Elect. She will assume the position of chair in June of this year and hold it for a one-year term. She will succeed current chair Lowell J. Notebloom.

Pat is a strong and engaged leader, acting as a vital member of the League board since 2008. She was most recently Vice Chair and char of the League Board's Development Committee.

As an experienced board leader, Pat has served as Chair of the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera Board of Trustees since 2005. Her additional community service has included Chair of the Board of Governors of the Salt Lake Chamber, Chair of the Board of United Way of Salt Lake, President of the Salt Lake Rotary Foundation, National Advisory Board of the David Eccles School of Business, Westminster College Board of Trustees, and the Governor's Economic Council.

She was named number one of "Utah's Top 25 Cultural Power Brokers" by The Salt Lake Tribune. The Chamber also honored her as an Athena award recipient in 2000.

Until her retirement in 2009, Pat was senior vice president and regional manager of the Private Client Services for Wells Fargo Bank in Utah. This is Lane Beattie on KSL News Radio.
