Utah's Olympic Legacy will be coming back to life this coming week with U.S. Olympic Trials taking the state by storm.
Athletes from all over the United States are coming to our state to compete for a spot on the U.S. Olympic team to compete in Sochi, Russia for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
The U.S. Olympic Trials Speed Skating Long Track starts today and runs through January 1st at the Utah Olympic Oval. This competition will be televised. Up to 20 athletes may be named to the Olympic long track speed skating team.
This weekend, the Nordic Olympic Trials will take place up at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City. The Nordic Combined competition will be on Saturday, and Ski Jumping will be on Sunday. General admission for the Nordic Olympic Trials is free.
Thanks to Utah's amazing winter sport facilities that hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Utah is a prime spot for both training and competing for future Winter Olympics.
