This is Lane Beattie of the Salt Lake Chamber with your Utah Business Report.

This weekend marks the 16th anniversary of the opening of the Women's Business Center at the Salt Lake Chamber.

For more than a decade and a half, the Women's Business Center has provided counseling, training and encouragement to thousands of women—as well as many men.

In the past year, the Women's Business Center has added nearly 200 new clients and provided more than 540 hours of consulting. In all, they have provided training to nearly 43-hundred people. These trainings focus on six core areas: marketing, finance, business plan development, sales, management and procurement.

This effort has resulted in 44 new business plans. Perhaps most important is the creation of 24 new businesses, which created 31 new jobs in our state.

The Salt Lake Chamber is Utah's business leader and with the Women's Business Center, we help build new businesses and support Utah's entrepreneurs. To learn more about the Salt Lake Chamber Women's Business Center, visit our website at slchamber.com-slash-wbc.
