This is Marty Carpenter in for Lane Beattie of the Salt Lake Chamber with your Utah Business Report.

It's always wonderful to hear that businesses help out with good causes—especially when it helps out a nonprofit in helping the community.

Recently Whole Foods of Sugarhouse hosted an adventure day to benefit Splore's outdoor adventure programs for people of all abilities.

The community flocked to the festivities and sampled three amazing river dutch oven recipes. In total, Whole Foods raised more than 33-hundred dollars to donate to Splore.

Splore provides life changing outdoor adventures for people with disabilities and disadvantages. Splore serves a wide array of individuals: children with autism, adults with mental illness, teens in treatment, veterans and more. All donations support Splore's mission of changing someone's life for the better through outdoor adventure.

Whole Foods and Splore will continue their partnership with a community partner in barbecue in the fall and various other events throughout the year.
