This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

Over the past decade, running has experienced phenomenal growth. National survey results showcase how the sport continues to attract runners and reach new highs in participation. Since 2004, total running/jogging participation has increased 70 percent to nearly 42 million. A runner himself, Cameron Paul is part of this growth, and he's now supporting the industry with his innovative new product, called The ArmPack.

Cameron started running about a year ago to improve his own health. As a trail runner, he was consistently frustrated when he had to shove everything in his pockets or leave it in the car. He started searching for some kind of storage, but nothing quite fit what he was looking for. So, he decided to create it himself, and the result is The ArmPack.

The ArmPack is an all-fabric arm storage pack designed to provide more room than what you would find in your pockets while still maintaining a full range of motion for your arm. Based on compression technology, The ArmPack is worn by simply pulling it up your arm, so there's no need for straps, Velcro or buckles. Cameron said the pack can secure all of your gear comfortably without jiggling while you're in motion. The ArmPack comes in nine colors. One design has a sweatband pocket and others can fit all sizes of cell phones.

Today, the idea inspired by a lack of storage for a trail runner has become a product almost anyone can use. Cameron designed The ArmPack for running, but he's found a much wider audience. Everybody from skiers and cyclists to vacationers are enjoying the product for safety and convenience purposes. Families enjoy it in places like theme parks as a replacement for purses or bags.

Cameron says The ArmPack has received awards for the unique design, and, in May, it was selected as one of three companies to win Grow Utah's Outdoor Recreation Contest.
