Nothing says Days of 47 like a good rodeo. Be sure to get your tickets today at Smith Tix or the EnergySolutions box office if you want to see one of the top rodeos in the U.S. Starting in 2016, the Days of 47 Rodeo Salt Lake is set to become one of the four top feeder rodeos out of 750 rodeos in the U.S., sending winning contestants to the Elite Rodeo in Dallas.
The Days of 47 Rodeo already attracts some of the best performers in the rodeo circuit. Utah itself is home to some top rodeo athletes, like Nancy Hunter, a barrel-racing champion or Kaycee Field, the five-time world champion in bareback. You can also see the five Wright brothers from Milford who take turns in being the saddle bronc champion.
The Days of 47 Rodeo will be in Salt Lake City, Utah from July 20 to 25 featuring talented rodeo athletes. It will kick off at the Energy Solutions Arena on Monday, July 20, with a great concert featuring Kip Moore. Starting Tuesday you'll see the world-class rodeo with 60 cowboys and cowgirls that are top in their field. This year, the last night, July 25, will be extra special with a Maverick shootout. RFDTV will also be broadcasting the Days of 47 Rodeo that evening to 47 million viewers around the country.
New this year is the nightly Ribs and Rodeo, with ribs from R&R Barbecue. Every night before the rodeo, you can enjoy music and a rib dinner. Saturday night the top 20 contestants from around the nation will compete in the Jack Daniels Cook-off, vying for a chance at the national finals. Bring the kids for mutton busting, pony rides and a great rodeo experience.
