With many companies seeking to grow their presence online, the Internet web hosting services industry has been growing over 10 percent annually with revenues in the billions. Jeff Hunsaker, chief services officer for his company, UK2 Group, has participated in the industry's growth with his business, headquartered in Logan.
UK2 Group is an Infrastructure as a Service company. They help customers build an online presence through securing the domain name, then building and hosting a website. This also includes securing the servers, meaning all their hosting facilities are highly secure. Customers choose the type and level of service they need, and Jeff and his team provide it. Their client base spans all sizes and company types, from small businesses to large corporations.
UK2 Group has been growing at a rapid pace and now has 270 employees, 120 in Utah alone. They have a physical presence in India, Ukraine and England, in addition to the U.S. These employees also help staff data centers in 11 countries, with 23 secure physical locations where they provide power and infrastructure services so web servers rarely go down. These highly-secure facilities offer a variety of support, all based on customer needs.
UK2 Group is serving a worldwide audience. As a managed hosting provider, they do all the back-end work. Here in Utah, their offices help customers from many countries, giving clients tools for building their own website, so it can be ready to go live from the order to the website in less than an hour. About 70 percent of their customers are small businesses.
