Sean Bradley, owner of Tabula Rasa Social Stationers in Trolley Square, is so passionate about what he does, he says he can't imagine doing anything else. That's saying something since this store is celebrating 30 years of being in business this year.
Tabula Rasa Social Stationers is the exclusive dealer in Utah for Designer's Fine Press, a beautiful letterpress line of invitations. Letterpress gives invitations a unique look and feel. They also do foil stamping, and Sean says the list of font choices is endless. There's in-house calligraphy so if you bring your list of guest names in, they will "hand" address them with a special machine that does beautiful calligraphy. Their customers love this personalized invitation option.
They also have a deal in place with Williams Sonoma in Trolley Square where brides who register there can bring their registration card in and receive a 10 percent discount on wedding invitations at Tabula Rasa. With the wedding season well underway, Sean says this is a great value add for their customers. He has vendors across the U.S., from Portland all the way to Maryland. While he has some do-it-yourself options, on the whole Tabula Rasa is geared more for full-service.
Sean classifies Tabula Rasa Social Stationers as a tactile experience. Not only do they specialize in beautiful printed materials like personalized stationary and special event invitations they also offer a wide variety of gifts and other items. For example, they have gorgeous silk scarves and shawls for ladies as well as a section specifically for gentleman with shaving and grooming items.
Tabula Rasa has been located in Trolley Square for 10 years and is considered an anchor tenant for the shopping center. Sean says the new direction it's headed, under the leadership and ownership of Khosrow (kose-row) Seminani (sem-ih-nah-knee), is exciting and he is anticipating his role in being part of these renovations.
