This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

Today I continue my report on our Top Businesses for 2014, showcasing some of the best and brightest among Idaho and Utah businesses. The U.S. Chamber has ranked Utah No. 1 for economic dynamism. Idaho has been named No. 5 for Most Fair State Tax Systems from WalletHub.

International company Internexus in Salt Lake City is a global education network with an intensive English as a Second Language Program, serving students from around the world. The company is focused on helping students broaden their view of the world through educational experiences. The mission that drives company president and founder Rob Brown is fostering world citizenship.

Jim Kissler, president and CEO of Norco, defines Norco as a company driven by its purpose. And that purpose is to provide industrial supplies and home medical products to make life better for their customers. Jim is the second generation of family ownership for this company.

Security is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. International Armoring in Centerville has lead out in this industry since Mark Burton launched the company 21 years ago. The company's patented designs for armored vehicles are used for government officials, wealthy individuals and heads of states. They have multiple manufacturing plants around the world and are in over 60 countries.

You may not recognize the name, but you'll recognize their products. Idaho Steel in Idaho Falls helped develop the technology to produce potato flakes for companies like Idahoan Food, Basic American Foods and Oregon Potato. The 97-year-old company is now operated by brothers Alan Bradshaw, Delynn Bradshaw and Davis Christensen.

Chris Beins of Top Hat Farms in Deweyville, in Northern Utah, is producing some of the finest Simmental cows in the U.S. His three daughters Britney, Madellyn and Aribella, love to show their cattle at competitions. In fact, this is a family business with Chris, his wife Allison and all three kids enmeshed in ranching. Their herd of 100 cows is top-of-the-line American Simmental cows.
