Owner Paulina Greves (greeves) says SpaDay has a wide range of massage services to help clients with everything from pregnancy to sports injuries, plus skin care. She says people have the impression that massages are a luxury when in reality, many are for performance. For example, the sports therapy massage helps athletes prepare for an event and then recover once it's over. Pre and Post Natal Massage helps moms-to-be to relax and better handle the growing pains from pregnancy and recover after birth.
In addition to massage, SpaDay also offers a variety of skincare services like facials, microdermabrasion and phototherapy. The Microcurrent facial can be done as quickly as 20 minutes or as long as 75 so you could have it done on lunch break from work downtown. It's designed to lift and rejuvenate the skin.
The location for this growing business couldn't be more ideal. SpaDay is located just down the street from City Creek Center in Downtown Salt Lake City. City Creek had 16.2 million shopper visits last year which will benefit neighboring businesses like SpaDay.
Paulina says she learned the art of operating a spa and being a master aesthetician from her mom who not only ran a spa for over 30 years but also went to Finland for her training. In Europe they take this kind of training seriously, and it's a three-year process, almost like getting a nursing degree. The spa industry worldwide is a major economic engine, generating over a billion dollars every year.
SpaDay already has a staff of six employees, who Paulina says are dedicated to the success of the business. She also believes in ongoing training so employees stay current on industry trends.
