This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

In 1976 ..... Park City was not a well-known ski destination. In fact, Deer Valley didn't even exist .... And Hans Fuegi (foo-ah-gee) came from Switzerland with his girlfriend to ski the Utah powder.

Well, Hans stuck around, loving what Park City offered. Already involved with one restaurant Hans told the bank if they were ever looking for somebody to buy the Grub Steak Restaurant, he'd be interested. In 1991, that's exactly what happened. And 21 years later, Hans and his team are still making great things happen inside the Grub Steak kitchen.

Fact is, the Grub Steak has a reputation that goes beyond Park City. That's because at its heart, the Grub Steak Restaurant is a steakhouse with great food and service. Here nothing comes from a can — salads are fresh, soups are homemade and they bake their bread and desserts on site. Of course, there's also the custom aged steaks, fresh seafood.

It's also because the staff understands what needs to happen — every night, every dish, every meal ... The chef has been at Grub Steak Restaurant for over 30 years, while other employees have been there 20 plus years .... And the head waiter? That's the first person Hans hired when he bought the place.

You should've seen Grub Steak Restaurant during the Olympics. Hans was an important supporter. It wasn't unusual to see Olympians here during that time … especially the Swiss bobsled team.

Hans loves having a positive employee/employer relationship.... He has a full understanding that it takes a team to make the restaurant successful.... At the end of the day, he knows his employees are the ones producing the final product. He loves the quality of life in Park City and is one of the co-founders of the Park City Restaurant Association, making him a major contributor to the Utah restaurant scene .... Every 1 million dollars spent in Utah's restaurants helps generate almost 31 new jobs.

Hans would like to see Grub Steak Restaurant continue to be a Park City destination.
