This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

The secret to his success is the ultimate communication skill, and that's listening. He will express a concern or strategy then ask what his team thinks, and they tell him. He's created a safe environment for his group to express opinions. That's how he's moving the ball down the court. Additionally, it's important for Greg that if they have a challenging property or they've made a mistake to admit it and move on.

He said, "If you're the smartest person in the room then you're in the wrong room." When I asked him about his father, Larry H. Miller, and how Greg is following in his footsteps, what came to mind? He said the longer he does this job, the better his understanding of the sacrifices Larry and his wife, Gail, made for this amazing company spaning 30 states. Greg feels fortunate with the resources at hand, including Gail and his brothers in the family business, because they can help carry on the values that meant so much to Larry. You can't go anywhere in Utah without feeling Larry's influence.

Greg is seeing leading indicators of our economic recovery, especially after the setbacks to the automobile industry. From the level of Jazz tickets sold to movie theater tickets and now the number of cars the Larry H. Miller car dealerships are moving.

So, if you like cars, you don't want to miss Speed at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, starting June 2. You'll have a chance to see one of Larry Miller's favorite cars from his collection, a 1965 Daytona Coupe.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
