KAYSVILLE — The Taylorsville Warriors gave up six points their first two games this season — by halftime they were down by 21.

Colton Chronsiter threw for three touchdowns and ran one more in as the Davis Darts finished their non-Region schedule undefeated taking down Taylorsville 28-0.

The teams were both 2-0 coming into the contest combining to outscore their opponents 145-20 in their previous games. Taylorsville's offense sputtered while the Darts' offense kicked in when they needed it to.

"I'm telling you right now that team we just played is a good football team," said Davis coach J. Ryan Bishop. "I told coach [Rod] Wells after the game that he's got a good football team. He's big, he's athletic and I don't know that we'll see a better defensive line this year."

The two offense's came into the game putting up big numbers, but the first quarter nearly ended scoreless until one big play from Chronister to his wide receiver Abel Porter. Chronister hit Porter on a 73-yard touchdown with 1:35 left in the first to get the first points on the board.

Chronister ended the game with 234 passing yard and 69 yards rushing as the Darts' offense remained effective through the game, despite 159 yards in penalties.

The Darts' defense was fantastic all night. They gave up 29 yards on 25 plays in the first half and only 86 total yards all night. They forced two turnovers; one lead to a touchdown another would have been, but a holding call wiped the touchdown away.

"I was really frustrated that we let ourselves get sloppy," Bishop said. "Our penalties were just atrocious, that is something we need to clean up."

Davis ran 76 plays by the end of the night. They run a fast-paced offense that is becoming the new thing in football. They ended the night with 463 yards of offense.

"We're not the biggest, we're not the fastest, but we are well conditioned and we try to wear them down with our pace," Chronister said.

The senior quarterback was aided by Porter and Parker Rose. Porter, a senior wide receiver, caught four balls for 121 yards and the game's first touchdown. Rose, a senior running back, ran for 116 yards and caught 3 balls for 59 more and two touchdowns.

In the third quarter Davis was penalized for nearly 80 yards in two possessions. One penalty took away a touchdown. Holding was the most often infraction, but there was a little bit of everything.

Davis will play Syracuse on Thursday to kick off Region 1 play. Taylorsville will play once more non-region game hosting Olympus next Friday.
