OGDEN — No. 1 Lone Peak defeated No. 5 Davis 84-50 to advance to the 5A semifinals.

With the Davis focusing on the Big 3 of Nick Emery, Eric Mika and TJ Haws, BYU football commit Talon Shumway dominated the first half hitting four 3-pointers, scoring 17 points in the first half. Shumway would finish the game with 25 on 9 for 14 shooting.

Lone Peak put the game away early, jumping to a big first quarter lead 26-12. In just 16 minutes of play, the Knights finished the first half with a 20 point lead 49-29.

Davis was led by sophomore Jesse Wade's 13 points and was the only Dart in double figures.

No. 1 Lone Peak will play No. 2 Brighton on Friday, March 1st at 4:10 p.m. at the Dee Events Center in Ogden.
