ODGEN — No. 2 Bountiful defeated Westlake 67-53 to advance to the 4A quarterfinals.

Bountiful shot lights-out in the first half hitting 61% of their 23 shots and hitting 6-of-8 from three.

Westlake struggled from the field hitting just 33% of their shots in the first half and scoring just five points in the second quarter.

Bountiful built up a 20 point lead at the half and held on for the victory.

The Braves were led by Sam Merrill's 22 points and Zach Seljaas' 15.

Westlake's Zavon Jackson had 19 to lead the Thunder. Brayden Holker and Jacob McCord scored 10 apiece.

No. 2 Bountiful will play No. 4 Roy on Thursday in the 12:40 p.m. quarterfinal game.
