No. 2 Brighton defeated Pleasant Grove 70-55 to advance to the 5A quarterfinals.

Brighton won despite University of Utah commit Brandon Miller having a sub par shooting night. Miller scored 20 points, but was just 6-17 from the field and 1-8 from the three-point line.

Travis Devashrayee picked his team up by scoring a game-high 21 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.

Leading by seven, through three quarters, Brighton scorched the nets with 30 points in the 4th quarter. That was the most points scored by a team, in a quarter, all day.

Pleasant Grove had balanced scoring as Matt Conway (10), Riley Court (14) and Mark Sheffield (13) scored in double digits, although Conway was just 4-17 from the field.

No. 2 Brighton will play Viewmont on Wednesday, Feb. 27th at 2:30 p.m.
