Posted Jun 29th - 9:46am by Greg Wrubell

With BYU Football Media Day in the books for another year and the month of July upon us, the 2015 Cougar football season draws ever nearer.

To help BYU fans keep their football neurons firing during the offseason, the "Cougar Quiz" appears weekly, keeping the countdown fires burning before training camp opens in early August.

Through nine quizzes, the average score always hovers in the high 40%-to-low 50% range; see how you do this week, and be sure to share the quiz with BYU friends and family.

As the days now get shorter, so too does the wait for BYU training camp to begin.

Camp gets underway just over six weeks from now, and BYU Media Day this week will further whet fans' appetite for the 2015 college football season.

As part of the preseason buildup, the weekly "Cougar Quiz" is here to sharpen your wits and help pass the time until the pads start popping. Give this week's test a try, then be sure to share it with friends and family. If you do well, let everyone know on social media.

We're more than halfway through the off-season run of BYU football trivia tests, with the latest installment of the "Cougar Quiz."

One of the great things about BYU's outstanding football history is that there are plenty of historical facts to mine for the weekly trip down memory lane. You may not know everything, but you are bound to learn something.

Give the latest test a try, and afterward, be sure to share it with the BYU fans in your social-media circle.

It's time for another weekly stroll through the recent and distant annals of BYU football trivia--it's another "Cougar Quiz," designed, as always, to inform and entertain.

The last four quizzes have seen average scores collecting in the low 50% range; if you get anything better than that, give yourself a pat on the back.

After you finish the quiz, be sure to share it with your BYU-fan friends and family.

I look for continued improvement with the latest trivia test; dive right in and have a go at ten questions designed to inform and entertain.

After you have completed the quiz, be sure to share it with friends and fellow BYU fans; if you do particularly well, let me know about it on Twitter (@gregwrubell).

The final "Cougar Quiz" for the month of May provides another opportunity for Cougar Nation to sharpen the offseason wits with a trip down BYU football's memory lane, featuring some long-ago and more recent trivia.

Last week's quiz saw 2015's best performance to date, with the average respondents' score topping 50% for the first time since the latest run of "Cougar Quiz" tests got underway in late April.

Take this week's ten-question brain-teaser, then see what label your score has earned you. If you do particularly well (and even if you don't), be sure to share the quiz with others!

Each Monday a new "Cougar Quiz" comes out, designed to sharpen your pigskin wits during the long off-season.

Three weeks of the "Cougar Quiz" have seen the average respondents' scores hovering in the mid-40% range. Is this the week Cougar Nation hits the 50% mark? I think it is.

Give it a go, and be sure to share it with friends and family on social media. High scores deserve a self-shout out.

Through two weeks of the "Cougar Quiz," the average score has hovered in the low-40% range, which just means that most quiz-takers are in off-season form right now.

With BYU football training camp now less than three months away, let's see if the scores climb this week.

Give this week's quiz a go, then be sure to share it with family and friends.

It's back for the second week of its 15-week, pre-training camp run: another "Cougar Quiz," for fun and entertainment.

In this week's quiz, you will find ten questions, ten correct answers, and one heck of a good time.

So, give it a whirl, give it your best, and spread the word about the quiz to friends and family. If you do really well, make sure all of social media becomes aware.

Lone Peak's Jackson includes BYU among top college options

Posted Apr 29th - 4:53pm by Greg Wrubell

The most prestigious programs and biggest coaching names in college basketball are all interested in Lone Peak High School star Frank Jackson. BYU and head coach Dave Rose were most interested before any of them.

That's why, almost two years ago, before Jackson ever suited up for Lone Peak, he had a scholarship offer from Rose. In September of 2013, Jackson accepted that offer, verbally committing to Rose, and telling Brandon Gurney of the Deseret News:

"I'm excited and honored to be part of BYU's program. It's seriously a dream come true for me to play for Coach Rose and with all the other great players and coaches at BYU. I can't wait.
