This is my father. David Carlisle Dickson, Jr. He is here with me in Utah for the first time in 15 years, staying in my home, talking with my husband on the front lawn, going to the park with my little boys. My brother and he visited Utah Olympic Park yesterday, where this picture was taken.
I am unable to express my feelings here, but suffice to say that I am also unable to focus on my duties here at KSL in a normal way during the last few days. I am thinking so much about the wonderful man who raised me who is, as I write this, at home eating breakfast with my sons. They'll be having Cheerios. He'll be having leftover brown rice and carrots. (He was a health food nut before there was a Wild Oats.)
I love you Papa. Thank you for coming here and seeing my life.
