GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND over the past seven years, Donnalee Eisenhart, teacher and National Honors Society advisor at Timpanogos High School, has been taking student success to a higher level. In an effort to help her students continue their education past high school, she has created two different scholarship programs at her school. The first scholarship program she founded is the Social Studies Scholarship, which Donnalee funds personally through her own payroll deduction, other teachers donating through payroll deduction, and recycling just about anything she can possibly recycle, i.e., old cell phones, ink cartridges and in the past even deodorant bottles. Donnalee has given out seven $1,000 scholarships to social studies students at Timpanogos High School over the past seven years. The second is the Dollars For Scholars program, which she created and involves each member of the National Honor Society collecting donations for the scholarship. They are challenged to get at least ten $2 donations. Since Donnalee became the NHS advisor five years ago, students have risen over $33,000 and they have been awarded 32 $1,000 scholarships. Every dollar raised goes back to the NHS students through an application process. Thank you, Donnalee, for going above and beyond for the students at Timpanogos High School.
