Cherilyn Eagar's intent to join the battle against Senator Bennett was first revealed on this blog several weeks ago.
What she said at her announcement today, however, should give Republicans pause. (quotes found in the DesNews)
Eagars declared the other candidates in the race to be "counterfeit conservatives".
"It's a two-way race: a race between three counterfeit conservatives and one authentic conservative. I'm the real deal."
And the endorsement Eagars received from The Utah Eagle Forum President was a little weird: "I know she won't change".
The Republican Party is looking for heretics when they SHOULD be looking for converts. (I can't take credit for that line, nor can I remember where I read it.)
