My name is Dave M and I'm the owner of *** Window Cleaning. My customers love to tell me how it always rains right after I clean the windows. Granted, sometimes this is true but usually it just seems that way. My question is, if you were to average the number of days per year with even a trace of moisture what would the average number of days be between. A trace every 3 days? Every 4? I'm just curious because then I could tell my clients, "Hey look, it rains an average of every 3 or 4 days so the windows can't last forever! I would really appreciate some help with this as I've been dealing with this complaint for the last 22 years!

Sincerely Dave M

Good thoughts from this guy! It's tough to say what the average would be. If you take the average of all the days in the year and include the summer then you might be hosed since in the summer we can go a couple of weeks without anything! Your best would be to do something by season.

There's not much information I can get you on this one however! Your best bet may be to just look at which months are the rainiest. December, January, March and April have an average of 10 days with .01 inches or more of rain. There's a link on the right that will link you to that information.

I suppose if you wanted to go on a limb, you could say since there are 10 days of measureable precip in January if you averaged that over 31 days, so that's something falling every 3 days or so but that is really not reliable.

Sorry we can't help you more on this one!
